The Evolution Of An Eco-Prophet

So tell me, Newtonian genius, when we have forest fire or volcano eruption, is not it releasing the same carbon (I doubt it is pure carbon, by the way, but I am a physicist, not a chemist) in the atmosphere? And for how many millions years it happened? Because I am not a specialist in this area (except Newtonian laws), I may be mistaken, then clarify.

A bison farting methane (CH3) : above ground carbon. A forest fire: above ground carbon.
A beef steer farting methane after eating feed corn: fossil fuel natural gas and oil went into the fertilizer, farming and transportation. An airliner or SUV: fossil fuel. We are taking what was below ground and putting it above ground. That is the difference.

The Evolution Of An Eco-Prophet

I don't pretend to be any kind of expert on the climate change, but I have lived in two of our states that have glaciers within their boundaries, for most of my life. What I know is what I have observed. I have watched Glacier National Parks glaciers shrink to the point they may have to change the name of the park. I know the winters in Montana have changed tremendously since my childhood. The amount of snow and cold is drastically reduced these days. I remember how deep the snow I had to trod through to get to the school bus and how very cold it was standing out there waiting. People have tried to tell me it just seemed deeper because I was smaller. And while I admit to being taller, the fences didn't grow, they are the same size. The snow doesn't get as deep as it did. In Alaska, the glaciers have been receding faster than ever. Places I walked on a glacier some years ago are now just soil. The glaciers are melting at an alarming rate. The ocean is rising. Ask the Alaska natives whose villages were being overtaken by the sea. They are moving their villages because the ocean they have lived beside for many years is rising and taking their houses. The shores are crumbling and falling into the encroaching ocean waters. It is happening in many places. I understand they are saying Venice will be swamped without some kind of intervention. The water is moving closer to our coastal communities on both shores. I know we have to change something in order to not make it worse.
We humans have not been very good stewards of this country, this earth. We litter and use way too much stuff that ends up in landfills. We keep cutting trees and do not plant nearly enough to replace them. We keep spewing obnoxious fumes into the atmosphere minute by minute. I can't say for sure about the effect the they are having overall, but I can say for sure, they are choking me. The fumes from a 18 wheeler going by me if I am out walking, biking or just driving behind one, will close up my sinuses and give me a headache of unbelievable proportions. If it does that to me, what's it doing to the air in general? Even if you don't want to believe in global warming, climate change or whatever you want to call it, can you deny we are making a mess of this earth? We have polluted and ravaged this earth and I think we need to rethink what we are doing. We need to be kinder to the earth and more sparing of her resources. We need to recycle and reuse. We need to ask ourselves if we really need that item we want to buy. And we should try to put a little less in the landfills. We need to be better residents of the earth. How can that be argued?

O.K. I am all for it. Just don't raise my taxes or tranfer my wealth to Africa to deal with it. Let science and free
markets come up with solutions over time. You can destroy our economy now or wait a few years for the
marketplace to deal with it.

Al Gore was one of the loudest and most persistent voices to say Saddam had WMD and needed to be removed. I wonder why you libs never want to talk about that?

Now that we know Gore can walk on water and he seems to be doing well after his crack up after losing the election to Bush, he's still a basket case. You can paint whatever picture you want of Gore. He's still not the same Gore he was before he had his melt down. Don't take my word for it. Look how he reacted when someone tried to ask him just one question about his movie which is full of mistakes. Knowing full well that it was, he took the question pretty bad. He facial expression changed, his tone changed, his voice became shaky, because no one has the right to ask Gore anything after he declared to the world the debate is over. It's time to stop treating Gore like he knows what he talking about. Enough is enough. How much payback for losing the election are the American people going to have to put up with. How much money is enough for Gore. Hasn't Gore made enough money for losing the election to Bush. Gore went from vice president to community organizer. It's true he does go around the world brainwashing, not training others to think as he does. Let's face it, global warming brings in tons of money. Gore knows this, the Democrats know this, and the extreme far left know this. It's way past time for Gore to put away his global warming blocks and go find another con. He's milked the global warming cow for all it's worth. The debate is not over, Gore has been paid more then his global warming con is worth, and he shouldn't be taken seriously. It's time to stop humoring Gore with our hard earned money and just shake his hand and send him on his way.

Sorry, but Global Warming is science. Deny it all you want, but the real adults in charge are moving on without you. We won't let wanton misology stand in the way reason. I would really love if these people (not the clueless followers, bu the really smart people beyond the anti-global warming movement) would just give it up and admit they real reason they don't like climate change -- because of the money. They just don't want to spend the money and do the hard work that needs to be done to address this issue. Why not own up to that, instead of this misologistic spin? When are you people going to realize that no matter what you say, science still works in the lab? I mean, my word, aren't you still arguging over Evolution?

Why does anyone take anything this man has to say seriously? He "invented" the internet...I'm sure quite a few more "intelligent" people would take the Global Warming more serious if we didn't actually have to listen to Al Gore pontificate.

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
-- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

Not to mention the constant drum beat throughout the 90s.

The whole thing is as absurd as he is. Instead of wasting all our time and money trying to change it. We had better try to learn to live with it. Things have been warmer and colder throughout the history of this planet and well before humans had a thing to do with it.

do they keep licking his anus the whole time? Do they ask any counter questions that would make him think?

Did they mention that polar bears are doing better now than ever berfore?

I guess a boy genius like yourself has never heard of Cap and Trade?
