I have worked for midsized to large corporations for 25 years and long term payoff over 3 years is the norm when looking at capital budgets, especially in times when there was no profitability. This is exactly how turnarounds happen in dozens of US companies every year and such analysis is happening in the current recession. Longer term payoff analysis, 3 to 8-10 years is not uncommon. If he trust such an outlandish and ignorant claim on how business is run how gullible (or manipulative) is he when talking about science?

Al Gore was made a fool of during his latest forum when questioned about polar bears. Gore repeatedly tried to argue that polar bears are an endangered spieces - true according to definition. What Gore tried to deflect and not acknowledge is that their are more polar bears alive now then before global warming began. Yet what Gore and the nut jobs have been arguing is that is that the loss of artic ice is killing off polar bears that is absolute nonsense. The whacko's also tried to argue that the Alaskan pipeline would kill off the elk herd - the exact opposite occurred the warm ooil in the pipeline kept more young elk alive and their numbers have increased. New studies prove CFC's do not deplete the ozone and that ozone is constantly being replenished despite false claims otherwise. Climate change science is about correlations between CO2 in the atmosphere and warming earth's temperature over "multiple periods of" time. Well that is except in Gore profiteering land or listening to his gullibility gremlins which use a 51 year sampling of Carbon!

Gore and the gullibility gremlins have to totally ignore the Vostok ice core looking back at 400,000 years of Earth's Carbon levels. According to the ice core we have had today's same Carbon increases 130,000 - 240,000 and 320,000 years ago.

Spirituality will help us understand and tackle climate change

There seem to be 3 main spiritual factors related to todays natural disasters and climate change that spiritual authorities agree on:

1. An overall decline of collective spiritual consciousness over time has resulted in the selfishness and unrighteousness which are prevalent in the world today
2. The gradual increase in spiritual pollution has started spilling over into the physical plane and is, among other things, manifesting itself in the form of natural disasters and climate change.
3. In order to sustain, or bring about any sort of positive turn in the long term - it is imperative that we work on our individual spiritual upliftment.

Without a spiritual perspective, and appropriate individual action ??? the negotiations, agreements, money and human effort that are being invested into tackling climate change have a high chance of failing, or at best remaining limited both in scope and time.

Let's take just one of the thousands of your "supposed" non-existent extraneous massive CO2 sources. Mammoth Mountain, CA and the Horseshoe Lake tree kill area. The total discharge of 50 -150 tons per day of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas being naturally released. Don't camp the in the kill area, don't dig a hole and defiantly don't lay face down on the ground; it will kill you. So let's look at what Exxon paid for;

1500 volcanoes on land known to have been active
Even larger number of submarine volcanoes exact number is unknown
600 volcanoes that have had known eruptions during recorded history
50-70 volcanoes are active (erupting) each year

Once again if you use Gore's 51 year sampling of carbon output it fits nicely at the peak of Earths last warming trend of Earth. The current warming trend started in the ballpark of 20,000 years ago, not only does the Vostok ice core show this but a multitude of other separate extraneous studies.

At least I'm not jumping onto the band wagon that we are on the verge of another ice age using the Vostok ice core data. As for your Exxon theory the core was a collaborative ice-drilling project between Russia, the United States, and France at the Russian Vostok station in East Antarctica
