They made mistakes and enacted things that violated civil rights but they are not solely to blame for the economy of today. Many of the things that lead to the collapse of the economy were enacted by Democratic presidents and congresses. Repeal of Glass-Steagal: Bill Clinton. The creation of Freddie and Fannie: Jimmy Carter. Bush pushed aside financial conservatism at the behest of a Democratic congress and now we have this mess. How can you possibly believe that by Obama taking the mistakes such as TARP and then enacting new legislation that makes TARP look like small potatoes has helped anything other than the lobbies to which Obama owes his election? I suggest you start looking some of this stuff up yourself and stop allowing MSNBC and CNN to do all of your thinking for you,
